In verses 10-11 of Romans 8 Paul made it clear that Christ gives life to believers. This is the key thought that has too often been lost in the debate over the role of the Holy Spirit. But Paul was not teaching Holy Spirit theology. Rather, Paul is talking relationally and positionally.
