Jesus is the light of the world (9:5) who has come to bring sight to the blind and light to the eyes. The healing of the lame man was a living parable to the world that Jesus can bring any person from darkness to light… Listen to what Jesus says after the former blind confesses. “I came into this world for judgment, in order that those who do not see will see and those who do see will become blind.” (John 9:39 HCSB)
