The book of Exodus is the book of redemption. This book is God’s picture book for showing the world who he is and how he will save. In Exodus 3 Moses has encountered the Lord at the burning bush that is not consumed. Moses was told that now is the time for the people to be delivered from slavery and Moses is going to be the deliverer to do it. Moses feels insufficient for the task but God’s answer is that he will be with Moses (3:12).
