Isaiah is in the midst of describing life in the new kingdom when the Messiah arrives. In Isaiah 26 we saw that those who are faithful enter into the strong city of God whose walls are salvation, where perfect peace is experienced. Isaiah continues to describe the new life when the Christ comes in his kingdom.
