As we come to 2 Samuel 7, we come to the theological center of the book. Over the last few chapters we have seen the Lord establish the rule and kingdom of his anointed, David. Enemies are defeated, Zion is established at the hub of the kingdom, and the Lord has come into Zion as seen through the arrival of the ark of the covenant.
