Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus proves his power over death and the giver of life in this moment when he comes to the tomb and calls Lazarus out of the tomb. Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days. His body was decaying. But Jesus has power over our decaying bodies and can call us to life. Jesus was glad for this event to happen so that his disciples and all the people would truly believe (11:15, 42).
